Aaron Randall Harvey, 36, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 12, 2026 at his apartment in Rochelle, Illinois. Aaron was born on May 1, 1990, the son of Ray Allen Harvey and Janet Lynne (Schermerhorn) Harvey in Rochelle, IL.

Aaron was very caring and loving with a witty and comical side to him. He was authentic and loved his people fiercely. Aaron was an animal lover of all kinds. He was known and loved as Uncle Aaron to many children.

Aaron is survived his mother, Janet Harvey of Holcomb, IL; his father, Ray (Val) Harvey of Beloit, WI; sisters: Tiffany (Jeremy) Jones of Crawfordville, IL, and Stephanie (Jeff) Poe of Auburn, WA; brothers: Ryan Harvey of Savannah, GA and Anthony Kirichkow of Brainerd, MN; maternal grandmother, Judy Schermerhorn of Rochelle; aunts and uncles: Nancy (Paul) Davis, Cindy Schermerhorn, Paul Harvey, Loretta Felix, Sheila (Steve) Shaw, Duane (Tammy) Harvey, Randy (Cathe) Harvey and Jeanna (Steve) Harvey; nephews: Donavin Martinson, Parker and Quinn Poe and Ayden and Brody; niece, Mackenzie Jones; many cousins, special friends: Ashlynn Hayes, Mark Boehm, Linzi Lowe and Rudy Hernandez and his favorite feline friend, Wednesday.

Aaron is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tom Schermerhorn; paternal grandparents, Charles and Alice Harvey; uncles: Lawrence Schermerhorn and Bob Felix and aunt, Charlene Harvey.

The memorial visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Mellon officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
