Adeline T. McGuine, 95, of Owatonna, formerly of Rochelle, IL, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Homestead Hospice House.

She was born August 24, 1912 in Independence, Wisconsin the daughter of Albert and Tona (Russell) Olson.

She graduated from high school in Mondovi, WI, and later attended teachers training in Eau Claire. Adeline taught school in Buffalo Co., WI. She married Francis McGuine January 31,1938. She then went to college in Lacrosse and received her degree in library science. She worked as a librarian in Blair, WI, Beloit College, Rochelle Township High School, and later at Flagg Township Library. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle where she was active in women's club and the parish council. She was also a member of the Flagg Township Library Board.

Adeline is survived by her son John (Paula) McGuine of Rochester, daughter Florence Fondell of Owatonna, and five grandchildren. Three great grandchildren; brother Al Olson and sister Florence Brown both of Ridgefield, WA also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother Earl.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 31 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, IL with Father David Peck officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Unger-Horner Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna.
