Adolfo M. Castro, 72, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Rockford, IL. He was born September 7, 1941 to Trinidad Mendez in Williamson County, Texas. Adolfo was a self-employed handy man for many years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma Ruiz in 1993 and his brother, Jessie Zappata in 2012.
Adolfo is survived by his wife Rosie Castro, two sons: Adolf Castro Jr. of Holcomb and Ric Castro of Florida; daughter, Debbie Smith of Rochelle; three brothers: Able Martinez of Rochelle, Alex Carrillo of Texas and Joe Martinez of Texas; one sister, Yolanda Martinez of Texas; six grandchildren: Josh (Melissa Strate) Smith, Brandi (Chris Carter) Smith, Rosie Arriaga (his special valentine), Frankie (Cassey) Arriaga, Santos Castro and Leslie (Andrew Freeman) Castro and four great grandchildren: Brooklynn, Adyson, Sofia and Benecio.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
