Alan E. Ewald, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. Alan was born on September 27, 1950 to John L. and Hazel (Imel) Ewald in Rochelle, IL. He served with the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Conflict. After his time of service and prior to retiring, Alan became a line operator with Crest Foods.

Alan is survived by three brothers: John Ewald of Rochelle, Wayne (Stacey) Ewald of Eagle Point, OR, and David (Patricia) Ewald of Stillman Valley, IL; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Flagg Center Cemetery with Pastor David Rogula officiating. Military honors provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard and Active Duty Marines. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard. Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com.
