Alfred Henry Busching, Jr., 87, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. Al was born November 6, 1928 in LaGrange, Illinois to Alfred Sr. and Alice (Perrot) Busching. He proudly served with the United States Air Force. Al married Carol Lou Hogg on August 20, 1955 in Maywood, Illinois. Al and Carol moved to Rochelle when he was hired as the secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. He went on to own the New Bowl and other opportunities before he began working at Del Monte, which he retired from.

Al was an amazing husband and father, who enjoyed his retirement with his beautiful wife, Carol Lou, and loved spending special time making memories with his children and grandchildren.

Al was deeply loved and survived by his children: Alfred "Chip" Busching, III of Rochelle, Leslie (Clint) Myers of Kings and Tracey (Jeff) Leininger of Rochelle; seven grandchildren: Kyle (Lindsey Montgomery) Myers, Caleb Myers, Ashlynn Leininger, Mallory Leininger, Abigail Busching, Emma Busching and Tiffany (Joshua) Medema; great-granddaughter, Payton Medema; sister-in-law, Joanne Orr; nieces and nephews: Pat and Fos Soper, Gary and Jerrie Hesse, Jan and Rod Levake, Helen Orr and Dave Orr and many great nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The memorial service will follow at 6:00 with Pastor Greg Hoffmann officiating. There will be a private burial at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made in Al's memory to Mooseheart.
