Alice J. Schellhorn, 77, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Rockford, IL. Alice was born July 29, 1937 to Eugene and Katherine (Nowicki) Walker in Chicago, IL. She married Donald Charles Schellhorn on March 14, 1959 in Skokie, IL. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2009. Alice was the founding member of Oakbrook Terrace Youth Commission and worked there for several years.

Alice is survived by two sons: Michael (Meri) Schellhorn of Cable, WI and Steven (Maureen) Schellhorn of Summerset, WI; her daughter, Donna (Brian) Koza, of Stillman Valley, IL; five grandchildren: Whitney Koza, Ashley Koza, Jonathon Deeds, Soren Schellhorn, and Parker Schellhorn, and two sisters: Sandra (Ray) Herro and Susan (Travis) Green.

The memorial service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Deacon Thomas Petit officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:45 A.M., Saturday prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Big Mound Cemetery, Davis Junction, IL.
