Alice Crystal Schulz, 95, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Manor Court of Rochelle. She was born November 26, 1929, in Brodhead, WI; the daughter of Clancy and Inga (Swalheim) Shaw. She married Norman "Bud" Schulz on June 14, 1951 in Brodhead, WI.
Alice graduated from Broadhead Senior High and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied chemistry and home economics. She would go on to teach high school (chemistry, home economics) and eventually became the office manager for her husband's medical practice. She loved to play bridge, belonging to several clubs and even playing competitively in the Midwest. Alice enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as attending Badger sports. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Alice is survived by four children, Laura (Kurt) Lemmerman, Eric (Heather) Schulz, Ann (John) Feilbach, and Jonathan (Lori) Schulz; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Gail Naujock
In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Bud; and three siblings: Priscilla Kleparski, Donna Sauer and Donovan Shaw.
Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice's memory may be directed to:
