Obituary
Alice L. Wendel, age 66 of Davis Junction, passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2006 at her home.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1940 in Marseilles, IL the daughter of Frank and Grace (Vernoy) Penoyer.
Alice had previously been employed by Caron International in Rochelle, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers: Richard, Charles and Raymond and a sister: Edith Penoyer.
She is survived by 5 children: Stanley Richard Wendel of Davis Junction, IL, Michael Dennis Wendel of Citronelle, AL, Helen Marie Wendel of Rochelle, IL, David Ray Wendel of IL and James Scott (Sherry) Wendel of Davis Junction, IL; 4 sisters: Virginia (Phillip) Perkins of Steward, IL, Mary (Greg) Stechschulte of Rochelle, IL, Louella (Ron) Fowler of Zephyrhills, FL and Ella (Jerry) Peterson of Spokane, WA; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle, on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 from 2 to 5 PM.
In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial has been established.
