Obituary
Althea H. Ballard, 89, passed away on Wed. March 11, 2009 at Shabbona Health Care
Center. She was born on Sept. 24, 1919 in Olin, IA, the daughter of Henry and Clara
Gillian-Lindley. Althea married Raymond O. Ballard on May 9, 1945 in Chicago
and he preceded her on April 23, 1972. She was also preceded by 4 brothers: Rollo, Harold Kenneth and Darrell Lindley and 2 sisters: Alberta Lindley and Valorie Pirc and a granddaughter: Teresa L. Taylor.
Survivors include a daughter: Susan Willis of Rochelle; 2 brothers: Harley Lindley of Central City, IA and Irwin Lindley of Iowa City, IA. 2 sisters: Cleta Endicott, of Central City, IA and Beaulah Blanchard. Grandchildren: Jeremy James Burright, Shantel Marie Burright, Skye Snyder, Anastasia Taylor, Jannessa King and Natavia Forbs.
Services will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM
with Rev. Duane L. Boehm. Visitation one hour prior to the service at Unger-Horner on Monday
at 10 AM. Memorial has been established to the family. Burial will be at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Elmhurst, IL.
