Anayantzin "Ana" Rodriguez Herrera, 45, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Foster G. McGaw Hospital in Maywood, Illinois.  Ana was born on October 12, 1979 to Edwardo Rodriguez and Rita Herrera in Veracruz, Mexico. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She also liked to take care of stray cats that came at house. And she was always there for everyone whenever they needed her.

She is survived by her daughter, Ana Valeria De Loza, her life partner (husband but never married) Valente De Loza, her mother, Rita Herrera, and her two siblings: her older brother Eduardo Rodriguez, and younger sister Rocío Escareño.  Ana is preceded in death by her father Eduardo Rodriguez.

The visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Fermin Garcia officiating.  Cremation care will follow the service.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
