Kings

Ann M. (Miller) Milligan, 92, of Kings, IL passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her daughter, Jacque's home in Albuquerque, NM. Ann was born January 25, 1928 to Ralph Guvine and Ethel Belle (Langholf) Miller in Rochelle, IL. She married Robert James Milligan on September 2, 1949 in Kings, IL.

Ann lived a long full life and loved her family. Ann is survived by her four children: Jim Milligan, Mac (Grace) Milligan both of Kings, IL, Jacque (Bill) Rowland and Martha (Terry) Ashcraft both of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren: Lynzie (Nic Argibay) Rowland, Breanne (Josh) Hensley, Robert Ashcraft and Andrew Ashcraft; and great grandson due in September.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her sister, Sarah "Sally" Martin and her husband, Robert Martin and her granddaughter, Kathryn "Katie" Nicole Milligan. Ann and Bob were married 67 years at the time of his passing in 2016.

Ann graduated from Rockford Memorial School of Nursing in 1949. She married Bob and spent most of her life as a farmer's wife - helping her husband on the family farm raising Registered Herefords. She worked in Holcomb for Dr. Schoen for many years and also at the Americana Nursing Home in Rochelle.

Ann was a member of the DAR Rochelle Chapter. She also belonged to a couple of Ladies Auxiliary Groups. She was a member of the former Kings Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.

Ann spent the last two and a half years in her daughter, Jacque's loving care in Albuquerque, NM.

There will be a private funeral service at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 with Pastor Cary Winn officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow the service at White Rock Cemetery in Kings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Rochelle Lions Club and DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution" Rochelle Chapter.
