Anna Rose Speed, 19, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in a car accident. Anna was born August 10, 1995 to David and Barbara (Koenck) Speed in Rockford, Illinois. She was a 2014 graduate of Rochelle Township High School. While attending the University of Northern Iowa, she became a member of the sorority, Gamma Phi Beta and was majoring in communication disorders for a career in speech pathology. Anna was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Paynes Point, IL. Anyone who knew Anna, knew she lived and loved life every day. Her smile would light up the room.

Anna was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert L. Speed, Clara Rose Speed and Paul M. Koenck.

She is survived by her father and mother, Dave and Barb, grandmother, Marianne Cimino of Polo, her sister, Danielle (Dan) Williams of Rochelle, her brother, Benjamin (Molly Hertz) Speed of Kings, aunts and uncles: Paul (Terri) Koenck of Polo, Connie Simonnet of Polo, Debbie (Jim) Schultz of Janesville, WI, Brenda (John Gavin) Camling of Polo, Teresa (Brian) Nettleton of Joice, IA and Rose (Dennis) Moss of Dixon; four nieces and nephews: Garrett, Riley, Maggie and Joleigh Williams of Rochelle and many cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 15, 2015 at Paynes Point Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 764 N. Stillman Road, Oregon with Pastor Andrew Kayes officiating. The visitation will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Burial will follow the service at White Rock Cemetery in Kings. The family requests in lieu of flowers to make memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Walter Lawson Children's Home in Rockford.
