Anuel Amahni Sanchez-Zepeda, newborn, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Anuel was born on July 29 and lived two hours and 23 minutes. His parents are Cesar Sanchez and Araceli Zepeda. He is preceded in death by maternal great grandfathers: José Zepeda and Simon "Pete" Phelps; great great grandmother, Joan Bray and special uncle, Salvador Maldonado.

Anuel is survived by his parents, Cesar and Araceli both of Rochelle; sister, Daleyza Dalary Sanchez-Zepeda; paternal grandparents: Cristina Caltzontzin Rodriguez and Salvador Sanchez Mejia both of TX; maternal grandparents: Leslie Zepeda and Mario Zepeda both of Rochelle; paternal great grandmothers: Rosa Rodriguez of FL and Maria De la Luz Mejia of Mexico; maternal great grandparents: Kenneth and Mary Portner of Rochelle and and Maria Carmen Avila Montoya of Mexico; maternal great great grandfather, Earl Bray, of Lafollette, TN; maternal aunts and uncles: Godparents Anthony and Liz Zepeda, and Xavier Zepeda; paternal aunts and uncles: Tania Sanchez, Maria de la Luz Sanchez, Salvador Sanchez, Eusebio Sanchez, Susana Sanchez Britani Sanchez; and many cousins and great aunts and uncles.

The visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 4 at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Unger-Horner Funeral Home to help the family with the cost of the funeral arrangements.
