Araceli Marie Zepeda, 27, of Rochelle, IL passed away unexpectedly October 20, 2025 at OSF Saint Anthony in Rockford IL. She was born Sept 12, 1998 in Rochelle, IL the daughter of Mario Zepeda and Leslie (Phelps) Zepeda.

We are heartbroken by the loss, but we know their soul is now at home, free from all pain and suffering. Heaven has gained a truly beautiful angel. Our hearts are broken, but we know you are soaring high with your angel wings in peace. You will always be with us, until we meet again, we will carry your love and memory forever. Araceli was preceded in death by her new born son, Anuel Amahni Sanchez-Zepeda; special niece, Solarie Zepeda; paternal grandfather, Jose Zepeda; maternal grandfather, Simon Peter Phelps; paternal and maternal great grandparents, and her brother, Xavier's and Jenny's baby Zepeda on April 4, 2024

She is survived by her parents: Mario and Leslie Zepeda; three beautiful children: Daleyza Sanchez-Zepeda (9), Zandiel Delgado-Zepeda (5), and Angel Delgado-Zepeda (3); two brothers: Anthony (Elizabeth) Zepeda and Xavier (Jenny) Zepeda..

Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 28 at 10:00 A.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th Street, Rochelle.  Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials for the family may be made to Unger-Horner Funeral Home.  Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com.
