Arkle Casper Schulte, 76, passed away in his home Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Rochelle. He was born April 5, 1936, the son of Casper Ignatious and Reta (Parker) Schulte. Arkle married Otila Banda on February 15, 1969 in Laredo, Texas. He worked maintenance for Stokley Van Camp for many years. He then worked for Best Welding in maintenance, retiring from there in 2001. Arkle was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rochelle.

Arkle is preceded in death by his wife, Otila, on January 24, 2011and his four sisters: Sarah Elizabeth Healea, Edith Alice Welch, Frida Marguerite Schnipper and Mary Rosella Harris.
He is survived by his son, Max (Denise) of Ashton, IL, grandson, Max Curtis Schulte of Ashton and sister Annabell (Wilford) Goolman of Winchester, Kentucky.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Burial is at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rochelle. The memorial is established to the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
