Obituary
Armando Gigante, age 66 of Rochelle died on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Rochelle Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 21, 1942 in Torsa, Italy, the son of Alviso and Santina Stroppolo Gigante. Armando was self employed as a Mason. He married Sharon A. Bloom on August 12, 1972 in Rockford IL. Preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother: Giovanni Gigante.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon Gigante of Rochelle
Daughters: Bettina Gigante of Belfast, Northern Ireland
Mary (Gary) Hoffstead of Stillman Valley
Son: Michael Gigante of Rochelle
2 sisters: Fernanda (Rinaldo) Gigante of Udine, Italy
Luigia (Dino) Stroppolo of Metz, France
granddaughter: Morgan Hoffstead of Stillman Valley
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. William Vallejo officiating.
Visitation will be same day as service, Tuesday from 9 - 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been establish to the family.
