Arril "Rex" D. Haymond 90, of Denton, Texas died Thursday Sept. 14, 2006 at Denton Regional Medical Center in Denton. He was born Dec. 15, 1915 in Arlington, West Virginia the son of William and Susan Alkire Haymond. He married Garnet Hinrichs in Rockford, IL in June of 1944. She preceded him on July 17, 2002.
He was a veteran of WW II serving in the Army. After serving in the Army he returned to the Lindenwood area and spent the majority of his adult life, working at various jobs from farming to a milk route and feed delivery. In his later years he work in security for a health care facility in Rockford, IL. Arril and his wife Garnet moved to Texas in 1993 to escape the Illinois winters.
He is survived by a daughter Susan Story of Denton, TX
2 grandsons Daniel Story of San Antonio, TX and Timothy Story of Chicago.
2 great grandsons Braidyn Story of Rockford, IL and Jason Story of San Antonio, TX
Graveside services will be held Sat. Sept. 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Lindenwood cemetery with Rev. Les McClelland. Visitation Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to FAIRHAVEN INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER, 2400 N. Bell Ave., Denton, TX 76209
