Arthur Freeman Ellsworth Sr., 75, of Monroe Center, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon. He was born November 26, 1946, in Novinger, MO, the son of Herbert and Maud( Lucas) Ellsworth. He married Cheryl Turner on August 19, 1967 in Rockford.
Art is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Monroe Center; two children, Art (Catherine) Ellsworth of Belvidere and Mark (Susan) Ellsworth of Stillman Valley; six grandchildren, Courtney (Quentin) Nichols, Hailey (Joe) Cronin, Ashley (Conrad) Furgason, Whitney (Tyler) Reese, Trey Ellsworth, and Aidan Ellsworth; seven great grandchildren, Quencie and Raelie Nichols, Mason and Madilyn Cronin, Henry Furgason, and Taryn and Warren Reese; a brother, Herbert (Jeane) Ellsworth of Rockford; and a sister, Patricia (Kenneth) Wheeler of Ninilchik, AK.
In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by sisters Imogene (Jimmy) Frankfort, Margy (William) Harvey, Mary (Charles) Mayberry, and Lois (Bill) Harvey.
A funeral service will be at 3 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 810 Woolf Court, Rochelle with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 2:50 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Interment will follow in Stillman Valley Cemetery. Please visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
