Arthur J. Orlikowski, 89, of Ottawa, IL, formerly of Rochelle, IL, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. Art was born November 27 ,1933, in Winona, MN, the son of Victor and Elizabeth (Kellogg) Orlikowski. He married Mary Ann Rose on February 7, 1953, in Winona, MN.

Art worked for Swift and Company for 29 years, first in Winona, MN before transferring to Rochelle, IL. He later worked for Caron International in Rochelle until his retirement. Art loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He was always fond of a casual walk. When they were younger, he would take his children hiking along the trails, bluffs, and river in Winona. He was very mechanically inclined and loved working on anything from houses to cars. Later in life, he took up making stained glass as a hobby.

Art is survived by his wife Mary Ann "Mitzie" Orlikowski; seven children, Joseph Arthur Orlikowski, Richard (Joan) Orlikowski, John (Laura) Orlikowski, Lisa (Joel) Carson, Susan (Steve) Swanson, Dennis (Sue) Orlikowski, and Phil (Denise) Orlikowski; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by five siblings, Donald, Victor, Raymond, and Roger Orlikowski and Janet Eide; and a daughter-in-law, Barb Orlikowski.

Private family services will be held at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL. Cremation care will be provided after the service. Interment of cremated remains will take place in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Rochelle, IL.
