Rochelle

Barbara "Bobbie" Ann (Bunger) Kurz, 81, of Rochelle, died Monday, May 30, 2016, surrounded by her family, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Born July 7, 1934, in Rochelle, she was the daughter of Henry and Barbara (Leonard) Bunger. Barbara and her husband, Orville, were married February 5, 1955. They were farmers in Ogle County for many years and long time members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle.

Survivors include husband, Orville Kurz, sons Dennis (Katie) Kurz of Rockford and Richard Kurz of Lindenwood, brother Eugene (Mary) Bunger of Rochelle, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Barbara Bunger; brothers: Edwin (Vivian) Bunger, Leonard Bunger, and Henry Bunger Jr.: sisters: Betty (Lorenz) Metzger, Loretta (Lester) Davis and Norma Bunger and step-mother, Georgean Bunger.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. Services will follow the visitation with Rev. Greg Hoffmann officiating.
