Barbara A. Byrd, 82, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Barb was born October 8, 1933 to Anthony and Minnie (Brauer) Durso in Rochelle. She worked for Caron International for many years and then became part owner of T-Byrd Lanes in Rochelle. She bowled for over 50 years and was inducted into the Rochelle Bowling Hall of Fame on April 19, 2003. Over the years she participated in many local and state bowling tournaments. She will be missed by her many "Bowling Buddies." Barbara loved to travel, visiting many national parks. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her children: Douglas (Mara) Byrd of Irvine, CA, Dennis (Karen Secrest) Byrd of Chicago, David (Virtue) Byrd of Newport Beach, CA and Debra (Dave) Jordal of Chana, IL; seven grandchildren: Matthew (Leah) Jordal of Ashton, IL, Megan Jordal and Michael Jordal both of Chana, Ryan Byrd of Steamboat Springs, CO, Eric (Holly) Byrd of Chicago, Lauren Byrd of Nassau, Bahamas and Brian Byrd of Newport Beach, CA; great grandchild, Alainah Jordal of Holcomb, IL and childhood friend, Gary Coons.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Minister Alicia Smith officiating. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 13 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorial to be established.
