Barbara L. Hayden, 88, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Rochelle, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Beatitudes Care Center in Phoenix, AZ after a short illness. She was born on Feb. 1, 1923 in Princeton, IL to Christian and Beryl (Titterington) Heck. On Dec. 27, 1942, Barbara married Clifford L.
Hayden in Princeton and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1996. She was also preceded by
brothers: Ted and her twin brother: Fred Heck. She spent her life raising her children and helping her husband with farming and business activities. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Memberships include Rochelle United Methodist Church and she was a long time member of Rochelle Hospital Auxiliary. Barbara spent the last 20 years of her life in Arizona.

Survivors include son: Spencer L. (Karen) Hayden of Rochelle, IL; daughter: Christina Sue Snyder of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren: Julie Snyder, Mark (Julie) Snyder, Mike Snyder,
Chris Hayden, Amy Hayden, and Tim Hayden; great grandchildren: Zachary and Mallorie Snyder.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL, on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Chaplain Judy Williams. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 AM prior to service time on Tuesday at Unger-Horner. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers: Memorials to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
