Beatrice Hope Lowe, of Creston, IL, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Rochelle Rehabilitation Center. Hope was born on June 17, 1918 in Mohawk, TN to Milburn and Mamie (Kyte) Day. She moved to Rochelle in 1942 worked for 32 years at Caron Spinning Co. retiring in 1980. Hope moved to Creston in 1946, where she loved her home, flowers, gardening and especially her church, the New Beginning Baptist Church in Creston. Beatrice married Joe Alfred Lowe on Oct. 31, 1936 and he preceded her on Oct. 25, 1998. Also preceding her were 2 brothers: Jim and Glenn Day and a sister: Irene.

Survivors include 2 sons: Jim Lowe of Creston and Dennis Lowe of AR; 1 daughter: Jeanette (Ron) Mosback of DeKalb; sister: Olene Day of Whitesburg, TN; sister-in-law: Mary Day of Whitesburg, TN; 5 grandchildren: Diann Docter, Ronald Mosback Jr., Shawn Lowe, Amy Fox and Erin Lowe; 6 great grandchildren: Dustin, Marcus, Michael, Riese, Chase, and Matt; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012
at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Al Roose officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 to 10:00 AM at Ungers. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorials to New Beginnings Baptist Church in Creston.
