Obituary

Beaufort, SC

Beau Vaughn Jason Sullivan, formerly of Rochelle, the most amazing human being ever created by God, passed away at the age of 26 on August 4th, 2021 while home with his parents and siblings. He is whole now. He is running and moving free from his worldly bonds, without pain. He loved life. Many may not have seen that, but he wanted to be alive despite everything he went through, and he felt fortunate and blessed. After high school, Beau planned on going to law school. He wanted to be a Disabilities Rights Advocate. He would have been awesome at that, but his deteriorating condition affected his plans.

When he was younger and more able, Beau's favorite thing to do was drive his chair and play random made up games with his siblings. He loved playing Play Station and his Nintendo DS. He was really good at it. Beau loved talking to people. He was intelligent and soaked up as much wisdom as he could from remarkable people in his life. He would watch the Cowboys football games with his dad and brother. I don't know if he really loved football but he loved the camaraderie it brought with his family, and he looooved Tony Romo. He considered him his friend.

He would enjoy letting his younger siblings sit on his lap and help them use the computer or just give them rides. Beau valued astronomy, Pokémon, Star Wars and folklore. He loved watching movies, especially super hero movies. He loved laying on the beach and digging in the sand with the waves crashing unto his body. He treasured floating in the pool with his siblings. He would float in there for hours and hold his breath under the water. He said he felt free in the water. He thought roller coasters were the ultimate rush of joy. He looked forward to his Halloween birthday parties and the holiday in general, but that may have been due to his strong infatuation with sweets.

You will never meet anyone with better manners. Through everything he ever endured, he would still treat people with the greatest of kindness…when he was in the right mind. He always wanted to move to a warmer climate so he could drive his wheelchair around all year long.

After Beau became more afflicted with his condition, he became less comfortable. People didn't see him out and about as much, but he still found life enjoyable. He would assure me every day he was happy. He enjoyed watching his favorite TV series and going out to eat; JMK was his favorite. He really enjoyed getting out to movies and listening to music. He and his dad would jam to music while getting ready, and he always looked forward to his grandpa's slushy visits.

Beau is preceded in death by his grandpa, Cletes Rick Sullivan.

He is survived by his grandparents: Gary and Connie Manning, Terry and Bonita Reints, and Barbara Manning (Raggy); his dad and mom - Jason and Rhonda Sullivan, all of his brothers and sister – Chayce (Bibiana), Gage, Gwen, Krew, Jax and Thayde Sullivan, uncles – Chris Sullivan, Barrett Manning, Cassidy Manning, Grant Manning, and Tommy Youngman, special "uncle" in name, Tara Manning; his aunts – Andrea Youngman, Andee Anderson, Esma Ramos, Georgina Barraza, April Feiden, Ashley Musielski and Andrea Barrett and several cousins. I know there are others he considered family and loved. You know who you are.
