Bernice P. Holtman, age 90, formerly of Lindenwood, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Mountain Home, AR. She was born on August 8, 1927 in Hammon, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elmer and Gertrude (Allee) Hill. She married Clarence William "Bud" Holtman on her eighteenth birthday, August 8, 1945, he preceded her in death on July 29, 2004 after more than 58 years of marriage. She is also preceded by her parents, two sisters, Ellen Krueger and Elma Lee Earlywine, three brothers, Edward Hill, Douglas Hill and Lyndel Hill, and son-in-law, Bradley Reineck.
Together they farmed for many years in the Lindenwood area, while raising their daughters and did much traveling in their motorhome following retirement. She loved flower and vegetable gardening, her peach trees and made the best peach pie, sewed, knitted, crocheted and crossword puzzles.

Survived by her 2 daughters: Bonnie (Jim) Wren of Conway, South Carolina , and Lori (Robert) Bowker of Midway, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren: Jody L. Rutledge, Jeff (Kimberly) Wren, and Justin (Lara) Wren; five great grandchildren: Hunter and Colton Rutledge, Reagan Wren, and Axton and Aubrey Wren.

Memorial established to Lindenwood Union Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December, 29, 2017 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Chaplain Dean Parker officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 9- 9:50 am prior to the funeral. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com
