Bettie Jo Hoelzer Herrmann, age 72 of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at
Franklin Grove Nursing Home in Franklin Grove, IL. She was born on Jan. 1, 1935 in
Baton Rouge, LA the daughter of Jesse and Verda James. Bettie married Milton W.
"Swede" Hoelzer and he preceded her on May 31, 1979; she then married Vincent T. Herrmann on Nov. 21, 1983 in New Orleans, LA and he preceded her on Dec. 26, 2002.

She was an interior decorator and had previously been employed by Myers Furniture, Bass Gas
and DeKalb-Ogle Telephone Co. Bettie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle.

Survivors include 2 sons: Mike (Carol) Hoelzer of Rochelle and Thomas "Buck" (Sherry)
Hoelzer of Esmond, IL; 4 step children: Denny Hermann of Rochelle, Darrell Herrmann and Dave Herrmann both of Steward, and Dawn "Norm" Jenkins of Rochelle; 2 brothers: Walter and Fred James both of Kelso, WA; 2 sisters: Jay Seal of Arkansas and Elizabeth Schwartz of Arizona; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, with Rev. David Peck officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral from 9 AM to 10AM at the Church. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers: Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or for Parkinson's Disease. Unger Horner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
