Betty J. Hooley, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her daughter's home in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Betty was born August 12, 1925 in Decatur, Illinois to James and Nettie (Whitley) Janes. She married John C. Hooley on September 29, 1945 in Rochelle. She worked for Illinois Yarn and Caron International retiring in 1987. Betty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on February 15, 1976, three brothers: Richard, Andrew and Willard Janes; two sisters: Donna Terrill and Genevieve Walters.

Betty is survived by her two daughters: Mary (Thomas) Sutton of Illiopolis, IL and Connie (Robert) Stechschulte of Stoughton, WI and two grandchildren: Tim Sutton and Neil Stechschulte.

The funeral service will be 10:30, Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Dr., Rochelle. The visitation will be the same day from 9:30 to 10:15. Burial will follow the service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to the hospice that supported Betty and the family: Agrace, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
