Betty M. Linnemeier, age 88, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Rochelle Community Hospital.

Betty was born April 8, 1925 to Bert and May (Lund) Rowe in DeKalb, Illinois. She married Kenneth A. Linnemeier on September 21, 1946 in DeKalb. Betty worked as an executive secretary for the First National Bank and the States Attorney for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 6, 1997, her parents and two sisters: Phyllis Matterson and Shirley Ann Scott.

Betty is survived by three daughters: Karen (Andrew) Stoll of Anamosa, IA, Cheri Rosenberger of Stillman Valley and Kathy (Drew) Schmidt of Missoula, MT; two grandchildren: Denise (Mark) Reeser and Lori (Michael) Carlson; and four great-grandchildren: Hayley Reeser, Austin Carlson, Nolen Reeser and Alex Carlson.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in Betty's name. Burial is at the Fairview Cemetery in DeKalb.
