IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beulah Olive
Woolbright
February 21, 1928 – January 2, 2022
Troy
Beulah Olive (Royce) Woolbright, 93, of Troy, IL, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 21, 1928, in Morehead, KY, the daughter of Shelby and Fern (Barker) Royce. She married Lawrence Ray Woolbright on September 16, 1943.
Our mother was the best mother a teenage boy could have. When out in public our friends and others would ask us, "Who was that pretty girl you were hanging out with?" "That was my mother." She insisted she was five feet tall but it was doubtful she was four feet eleven. Beulah demonstrated her love for art, music and dance. She was a willing dance partner when a teenager needed one. She studied art with an artist whose work hangs in the White House. She spent 16 years working as an inspector in industry and then 27 years farming on a cattle farm. She was the best shot in the family when deer hunting and would back dad up at night if strangers came to the door. Beulah was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Beulah is survived by her husband, Lawrence; two sons : Lawrence Dennis (Ikuyo) Woolbright, and Michael Ray (Miriam) Woolbright; sister, Christy Pierce; grandchildren: Nikki (Craig) Obernuefemann, Momoka (Masato) Tanaka and RT (Lisa) Woolbright; great granddaughters: Anna and Angie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step brothers and step sisters.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Crumb.
