Beverly June Cardott, age 71, of Steward, IL passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, of complications from Post Polio Syndrome. She was born on August 22, 1939 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Omer S. and Ruth E. Mitchell Hays. She married Ronald G. Cardott on July 22, 1956 in Steward, IL.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister Gloria Maakestad.

Survivors include her husband Ron of Steward son: Galen Cardott of Steward
daughter: Dawn (Brian) Johnson of Rochelle
3 grandchildren: Rachel Cardott, Emily (Anthony) Reed and Ben Johnson. 1 great granddaughter Norah June Reed. Sister: Rhonda (Raphael) Schiessl of Beloit, Wisconsin

Funeral service will be Wednesday Jan. 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, with Rev. Vaughn Peterson officiating. Visitation on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to service time.

Cremation rites will follow funeral services with burial of her cremated remains at the Steward Cemetery at a later date.
