Beverly A. Daugherty, 65, of Rochelle, IL passed away on Friday, June 6, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center in Rockford, IL surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1942 in Lee, IL, the daughter of Leroy H. and Frances Edna (Arndt) Houghtby. Beverly married Bernard L. Daugherty on October 23, 1971 in Lee, IL and he preceded her on December 8, 1999.

Beverly worked at Rochelle Foods before retiring in February of 2007.

She was preceded in death by son B. Allen Daugherty on February 11, 1998, 3 brothers, Jackie Dewayne, Donald Frederick Houghtby, and Gerald R. Houghtby, and sister, Carol Lynn Anderson.

She is survived by 2 sons Duane (Janet) Daugherty of Point Pleasant, NJ and Terry (Sara) Daugherty of Rochelle, and a brother James Houghtby of Dixon.

9 grandchildren: Breanna, Aaron, Tyler, Caylynn, Colton, Katie, Jeffrey (Crystal), Ashley, and Michael.

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Rochelle United Methodist Church with Pastor Brett Todd officiating. Visitation Sunday from 2 to 5 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery.
