Billie Lou Gilbert, 65, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in her home with family by her side. Billie was born on July 25, 1955 to William T. and Donna R. (Daugherty) James in Dallas, Texas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Thomas William Gilbert.

Billie loved a bargain and could be found perusing the various thrift stores throughout the area. She also enjoyed nature and had a special fascination with frogs.

Billie is survived by three children: Billie Jo Tchassani, Heather (Vinnie) Hess both of Rochelle and Bonnie (Justin) Grygiel of Bolingbrook, IL; father of her children, Robert Gilbert of Lombard, IL; her life partner, Papa Joe of Lake Geneva, IL; brother, Dale James of Lombard, IL; four sisters: Eve (Joseˊ) Palacios of Marengo, IL, Lee (Michael) Atkin of Franklin Park, IL, Colleen (George) Patterson of Lombard, IL and Grace (Tony) Chavez of Crystal Lake, IL; eight grandchildren: Lacey, Kam and Kaleb Hess, Karim Tchassani, Elijah Oluduro, and Alexis, Haley and Jackson Grygiel and close friend, Jake Andler of Elkhorn, WI.
