Franklin Grove

Blanche O. Schene, 92, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center. Blanche was born on May 19, 1927 to John and Corrine (Deitch) Allen in Leland, IL. On August 25, 1945, she married Harold G. "Stump" Schene in Chana, IL. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2000.

Blanche is survived by her son, Jeff Schene of Rochelle, IL; daughter, Judy (Larry) Peters of Cherry Valley, IL; brother, Donald (Mildred) Allen of Wausau, WI; three grandchildren: Mark Peters, Jacob Dougherty and Katherine (Ryan) Carlson and four great grandchildren: Ben, Griffin, Nora and Emery.

In addition to her husband and parents, Blanche is predeceased by four sisters: Zelda Allen, Margaret Tuntland, Helen Ramsett and Harriet Cater and three brothers: John, Robert and Howard Allen.

The visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church, 709 4th Ave., Rochelle with Pastors Dave Rogula and Rob Hamilton officiating.
