Obituary

Bonnie was born on May 27, 1949, in Rochelle, Illinois. Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family.

She married David Bamborough July 3rd, 1965 in Oregon, Illinois and worked for many years as a cook at Taft and later as a laborer at Caron's. Bonnie took great pride in her work and the friendships she made along the way.

Family was the center of Bonnie's life. She especially cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved attending family gatherings, making memories with her grandkids, and celebrating holidays with festive decorations that brought joy to everyone around her.

In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed gardening, especially planting colorful petunias, watching birds, caring for her flowers, playing cards, and solitare.

Bonnie is survived by her son, James Allen Bamborough of Oregon, Illinois; her daughter, Lori Bettner of Oregon, Illinois; her brother, Chuck Beck of California; her sisters, Carolynn (Don) Williams of Rochelle, Illinois, and Doris (Larry) Bolhous of Oregon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeff Richman II) Ingersoll and Jacob (Caitlyn) Bettner; and her great-grandchildren, Owen, Tessa, and Joliene Ingersoll, and Harlow and Lincoln Bettner.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Bamborough; parents Edwin and Edna Williams; as well as her brothers Lowell Beck and Russell Beck; sister Patty Troxel and Son-in-law Kevin Bettner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, Illinois, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Judy Williams will officiate. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle immediately following the service.

Bonnie's love, kindness, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
