Brenda L. Newman, age 52, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1961 in Mendota, IL, the daughter of James E. and Lois I. Clemons Newman.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her son: Corey Allen Newman.

Survived by her life companion, Jeff Askins, of Rochelle; her parents, Jim and Lois Newman of Rochelle; 3 daughters: Jennifer Newman of Norridge, IL, and Tiffany and Christine Newman-Askins of Rochelle; 3 brothers: Gerald (Bethene) Newman of Billings, MO, James Jr. (Maria) Newman of El Paso, TX, and John (Trasdy) Newman of Rosebud, TX; 2 sisters: Lori (Ron) Smith of Polo, and Tracie Hull of Rochelle; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rochelle with Father William Vallejo officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 - 7 PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th ST., Rochelle. Memorial to American Diabetes Association. Burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
