Brian W. Johnson, 44, of Rochelle passed away early Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Brian was born September 1, 1969 in Rochelle, IL; the son of Ronnie D. and Earline (Babb) Johnson. He married his high school sweetheart Shannan L. Smith on July 2, 1988 at the First General Baptist Church in Rochelle.
He is preceded by his father, Ronnie on September, 23, 1999.

Brian was an avid hunter and had a love of nature. He was also a master builder and enjoyed spending most of his free time restoring old muscle cars. He had a heart for giving to others and Christmas was a favorite time for him. Brian's greatest love was his family and his old Girly dog.

Survived by his wife Shannan, and two sons: Zack and Austin; his mother, Earline Johnson of Rochelle, his brother, Carl (Bonnie) Johnson of Hillcrest,IL; two nieces: Tiffani Johnson and Heather Johnson; and 4 nephews: Nicholas Smith, C.J. Larson, Patrick Larson, and Chance Larson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov. 30 th at 10:30 a.m. at 1st General Baptist Church, 508 S. 12th Street in Rochelle. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home. A memorial fund is being established. Burial will be in Trinity Memory Gardens Cemetery.
