Bruce "Bruiser" Edward Davidson, 59, passed away January 16, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. Bruce was born on October 18, 1963 to Charles E. and Betty J. (Meserole) Davidson in Rochelle, Illinois. He was raised in a loving home alongside his sister and brother, Lisa and Chuck, whom he has always remained close too. Bruiser grew up in Kings, Illinois, where he formed relationships that lasted a lifetime.

Bruce met and married the love of his life, Kim Vargen. They were married on October 14, 1989. Bruce and Kim shared 33 wonderful years together and raised two incredible sons, Luke and Cole. His favorite and most important role of his life was being the best possible husband and father. He was an incredible son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend to so many who were blessed to have known him. Bruce had an unassuming demeanor and natural kindness. It goes
without saying that to know him was to love him. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. Some of his best memories came from fishing at Todd's pond, watching the Cowboys play with the boys, vacationing in the Ozarks and hanging out with the Speeds.

Bruce worked for Area Erectors since 1986 as an Ironworker. He had a strong work ethic and was well respected by his coworkers. There was a brotherhood amongst these men, and he will be greatly missed.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Kim of Rochelle; sons: Luke (Devin Guard) of Monroe Center, IL and Cole of Kings, IL; father, Charles of Rochelle; siblings: Lisa of Winnebago, IL and Chuck (Diana) of Stillman Valley, IL; mother-in-law, Dorothy Vargen of Rochelle; sisters/brothers-in-law: Keith Vargen of Pittsfield, MA, Paul (Lisa) Vargen of Rochelle, Tracy (Johnny) Hensley of Rochelle, and Alli (George) Mikota of Eden Prairie, MN; nieces/nephews: Jen, Jake, Evan, Taylor, Carly, Adam, Blake, Rich, Mason, Morgan, Jack, Will, and several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many close, long time friends who were like family to him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Davidson; father-in-law, Richard Vargen, and close friend, Dave Bialas.
