Byrd Elvis Morgan Jr., 82, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, IL. Byrd was born May 23, 1934 to Byrd Elvis and Daisy Jane (Ruble) Morgan in Chaonia, Missouri. Junior worked for Del Monte as a forklift operator for over thirty years. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved western movies, fishing, and playing cards. Junior is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his son, Greg Morgan; and four sisters and three brothers.

Junior is survived by three children: Julie Morgan, Terri Wells, and Gary Morgan; daughter-in-law, Bobbi Morgan; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Angel, and Jeremy Knight, Makaela and Hannah McLaughlin, Nicole Wells, and Nicole (Kenny) Koppen; one great-grandchild, Emma Mae Taylor; two brothers: Frank Morgan and Truman (Eurma Lou) Morgan; and a sister, Freda Lund.

The visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6 ^th St, Rochelle. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Faith Gibson officiating.
