Candido Salinas Bucio, 88, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Mendota, Illinois. Candido was born on August 9, 1930 to Candido and Julia (Bucio Santillan) Salinas Nañez in Mexico. He married Maria Jimenez Saldoval on April 30, 1958. Candido farmed and later worked in the landscaping business.
Candido is survived by his wife, Maria, of Rochelle; four sons: Candido Salinas of Compton, IL, Jose Salinas of Belvidere, IL, Juan Salinas of Rockford, IL, and Cirino Salinas of Elgin, IL; five daughters: Laura Garcia of Rochelle, Palmira Guido of Marengo, IL, Rosalina Rojas of Rochelle, Elva Rojas of North Carolina, and Veronica Alanis of Rockford, IL; 31 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral prayer service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father Peter Pilon officiating. The burial will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 3 at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.
