Obituary
Carl A. Schabacker, 87, of Rochelle, passed away on Wed. Oct. 12, 2011 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born on April 7, 1924 in Flagg Township,IL, to Conrad and Freida (Felgenhauer) Schabacker. On Sept. 9, 1944, Carl married Lula Mae Morris in Rochelle.
He farmed and also was a driver for Burren Transfer. Preceding him in death were his parents;
2 sons: William on Oct. 28, 1995 and Richard on Jan. 31, 2006; and a brother: Conrad Schabacker Jr. Memberships include St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife: Lula of Rochelle; daughter Ruth (Loren) Furman of Rochelle; brother: Ronald (Gail) Schabacker of Rochelle;5 grandchildren: Dan Furman, Annette Smith, Ben Schabacker, Rob Schabacker and Tina Hatfield; and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle, on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at 10:30 AM. with a visitation at the church from 10 AM to service time. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on Friday, Oct. 14th from 5 to 7 PM. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial at Flagg Center Cemetery.
