Obituary
Carol J. Friedlander, age 66, of Rochelle, IL passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2006 at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on June 7, 1940 in Rochelle, the daughter of Milo J. and C. Arlene (Halsne) Prentice.
Carol graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1958 and IL Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL in 1962. She was a paralegal and prior to retirement was a counselor for Focus House for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her daughter: Laurel Friedlander of Granada Hills, CA; her mother: Arlene Prentice of Rochelle; a sister: Judith Sweet of Lake Sumerset, IL; an aunt: Neva Breese of Coco, FL and several cousins.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. James Tilley
officiating, at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM prior to the memorial service at Unger-Horner. In lieu of flowers: Please make contributions to the Humane Society of the US at 2100 L St. NW, Washington, DC 20037 or to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary Inc. at 111 N. First St., Rockford, IL 61107. Cremation rites were handled by Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
