Carol A. Mammen, 71, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at her home. She was born March 26, 1950, in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Lela (Cox) Spencer.

Carol proudly served her country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. She worked at Caron International until their closing and later worked as a CNA at the former Rochelle Rehab East. She loved to fish, crochet, and spend time with her dogs, Ace and Coty. She also enjoyed visiting and eating meals at the The Kitchen Table in Rochelle.

Carol is survived by three daughters, Tracie (Anthony Hughes) Stenli of Davenport, Iowa, Betty (Danny) Schrader of Shannon, IL, and Kymm (Chad) Folowell of Rochelle; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five siblings, William (Rose) Foster, Dianne (Hartlen) Coats, Sue Curtrer, Deb Worley, and Judy (Phil) Schaneberg; a brother-in-law, Ty Duncan; and many nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lela Cox; a sister, Deana Duncan; brother-in-law, Robert Cutrer; a great-niece, Darian Bridgeman; and her beloved dog, Ace.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle with military honors provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard and United States Marine Corps.
