Carol Louise Bradbury Tracey, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt died on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Carol was born on November 12, 1932 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Donald and Bertha Ward Dunton. She was adopted and raised by William and Evelyn Dunton Bradbury. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1950.
Carol married Arthur Ambrose Tracey of Cotton, MN on July 16, 1954, he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a faithful Catholic servant and member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a dedicated wife and a devoted mother to her nine children. Carol loved life, her family, fishing in Rice Lake, WI, playing a good game of cards and above all, God! She retired from DeKalb High School in 1994. She is preceded in death by her parents, her biological parents, her sister, Donna Keele, and her brother, Donald Sustaric.

Carol is survived by her 9 children: Cheryl Rowe of Seaside, CA; William (Vicki) Tracey; Daniel Tracey; Michael Tracey; and Patricia (Thomas) Kerwin all of Rochelle; Mary (Bruce) Voss of Oswego; Joseph (Rhonda) Tracey of Belvidere; Evelyn (Benjamin) Morrison of Quincy; and Mark (Nena) Tracey of Rochelle; her 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren: Debra (Earl) and Jordan Roberts; Angela (Alan), Kirsty, Ashley, Jorma, Gabreil, and Zackary Kielan; Kevin (Tracey), Brandon, and Brooklyn Tracey; Jeremy (Cara), Jonathan, Tyler, Austin, Jack, and Sam Tracey; Amy (Kevin), Kyrie, and Kolton Cragin; Paul (Melinda), Steven, Nicholas, and Ryan Kerwin; Arthur James "AJ" (Hilary), Bradley, and Cali Kerwin; Meghan Voss and Justine Voss; Candis (Grant) Michaud, and Taylor Tracey; Jane Morrison and Benjamin Morrison; Justin (April), Keanin, and Kinsleigh Stolte, Austin (Chelsey) Stolte, Jessica, Isaac, and Carter Stolte, and Scott Stolte; 2 brothers: William (Patricia) Dunton of Morro Bay, CA; and Ronald (Pamela) Sustaric of Tollhouse, CA; 2 sisters: Mary Jane Stoll of Rochelle; and Kelly (Gary) Dixon of Yorkville; numerous nieces and nephews, and an honorary son, Father Akan Simon of Crystal Lake.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Drive, Rochelle, with Rev. Akan Simon officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, with a rosary at 4:00. An additional rosary at St. Patrick Catholic Church will be held Monday morning at 9:30 A.M. with a visitation following from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be after the mass at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
