Caryn Nadette Salinas-Anaya, 49, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home away from home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Caryn was born on June 7, 1976, the daughter of Carlos T. and Ellen R. (Bearrows) Salinas in Rockford, IL. On June 7th 1995, she married Pedro Anaya, Jr. in Oregon IL.

Caryn was very generous and even though she struggled with bipolar and depression she was an all around wonderful person. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, music, and watching unsolved mysteries on TV. She loved shopping and giving to others. She had two mottos: Always stand up for what you believe” and “Do no harm but take no sh*t”.

Caryn is survived by her husband, Pedro Anaya, Jr. of Rochelle; two children: Pedro (Angelica) Anaya III and Salina (Zack Corson) Anaya both of Rochelle; four grandchildren: Benjamin and Thomas Anaya and Ethan and Brayden Corson; sister, Jacklyn (Jimmy) Rhodes of Rochelle and their three children: Siara, Taujah and Jimmy.

In addition to her parents, Caryn is preceded in death by her sister, Doyllynn Bearrows.

Caryn was a lovely person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
