Rochelle

Cassie JEAN Maronde, 94, passed away Thurday, May 30, 2019 at Oregon Living and Rehab. She was born January 10, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of William and Gracie (Donoho) Knight. She married Francis Maronde in 1948 in DeKalb, IL.

Jean is survived by six children, Sandra Braddock of Oregon, Dianne (Lowell) Hatfield of Rochelle, Pat Maronde of Rochelle, Betty Jo (Jerry) Pierson of Jackson, MO, Mary (Steve) Otto of Rochelle, and Sharon Russell of Rochelle; nine grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Hatfield, Ryan (Molly) Hatfield, John Kisner Jr., Jody (John) Tibbs, Sarah (Chris) Lindstrom, Sandy (Ryan) Kane, Annie Ludwig, Jessica (Dan) Paul, and Jennifer Cook; twenty-one great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Maronde of Byron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Maronde; two sons, Donald and Richard LeRoy Maronde; eleven brothers and sisters; a grandson, Kevin Maronde; and a granddaughter-in-law, Carrie Kisner.

Visitation will be from 12-1 P.M. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
