Charles Lee Clegg, age 76, passed away at his home on December 23, 2015. He was born on May 8, 1939 in DeKalb, IL, the son of Laverne and Virginia Beydler Clegg. Lee served in the US Marine Corps, farmed near Malta and worked at Alloyd (now Sonoco Protective Solutions) in DeKalb prior to retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his 2 sons: Curtis (Sally) Clegg of Sycamore, and Cary (Tynisha) Clegg of Chana; and 5 grandchildren: Makayla Clegg, Chase Clegg, Chad Martin, Liam Stone, and Aaron Stone; and his former wife Carol Jean Clegg.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Esmond United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Rogula officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 - 10:50 a.m. with a Masonic Service scheduled to begin at 10:50 a.m. prior to the funeral at the Church. Burial at the Greenview Cemetery in Esmond.
