Charles L. Cullum, 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home. He was born June 30, 1947 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Robert and Flossie (Loyd) Cullum. Charles, or Louie as most people called him, was a devoted family man who put his family first above anything else in life. He loved fishing and hunting and he especially enjoyed watching his grandson, Cody, play football and basketball. Charles was extremely loving and so proud of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his five children: Jesse Cullum of Rochelle, Rick (Amanda) Cullum of Plainfield, IL, Duane (Dawn Fasulo) Diehl of Rockford, IL, Randy Nachtigal of Jefferson City, MO and LaDonna (Matthew) Earing of DeKalb, IL; three brothers: Walt (Marilyn) Cullum of Forrest City, AR, Robert (Lisa) Cullum of South Haven, MS and John (Sharon) Cullum of Woodstock, GA; three sisters: Brenda (Bobby) Sassman of Mesa, AZ, Connie (Keith) Magoon of Blue Ridge, GA and Elizabeth Ewald of Mesa, AZ and five grandchildren: Cody Cullum, Jaxon Cullum, Cameron Havlat and Brandon and Kaylee Earing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Flossie.

The visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 7, at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Boehm officiating. Burial will follow the service at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle with military rites provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard. A memorial has been established.
