Cheryl L. Eich, 68 passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 in Rockford, Illinois. Cheryl was born January 12, 1947 in Dixon, Illinois to Ernest J. and Dorothy E. (Dean) Eich. She worked for Contel for over 25 years retiring in 1995. She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen, in 1975, and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelley Joy Booth, of Shipshewana, IN, and three grandchildren: Adam Williams (fiancée Alexandra Collie) and Lance Williams of Raleigh, SC, and Sandra Booth (Phil Griffen) of Shipshewana, IN, as well as a great many cousins and friends.
Cheryl was a very community-minded person, coordinating many community blood drives and community dinners. She also helped plan several Ashton High School All-Class Reunions and her own class reunions. She was a very active member of the Ashton United Methodist Church in Ashton, often working with the youth.

Cheryl's celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Ashton United Methodist Church, 906 Richardson Avenue, Ashton, with Pastor Sang Hun Han officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, March 16 at the Ashton United Methodist Church, and from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 17, also at the Ashton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service in the Ashton Cemetery in Ashton. Memorials may be made to Kreider Services or the Ashton Lions Club.
