Davis Junction

Cheryl Renee Henert, 57, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home in Davis Junction, Illinois. Cheryl was born on June 1, 1965, the daughter of James and Barbara (McNutt) Bobo in Kansas City, KS. On August 22, 1987, she married Todd Larry Henert in Rockford, IL. For 17 years, she worked in University Development for Northern Illinois University and the last three years at Rockford University working in the same department. Cheryl devoted her later years to finishing her education, graduating with a B.S. in Management Studies in the summer of 2020 and cherishing her time with her children and grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Todd of Davis Junction, IL; two sons: Cole (Sandy) Henert of Lindenwood, IL and Jake (Lexie) Henert of Madison, WI; her mother, Barbara Bobo of Monroe Center, IL; two sisters: Debbie (Leon) Webster of Monroe Center, IL and Marsha (Bob) Chosnyk of Stillman Valley, IL and two grandchildren: Cooper and Sawyer Henert. Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, James Bobo and her grandparents.

The memorial visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:50 A.M., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at North Church, 100 West St., Monroe Center, IL. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dave Rogula officiating. In lieu of flowers, it was Cheryl's wish that memorials in Cheryl's memory may be made to the family for donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Glioblastoma Foundation.
