James Christopher "Chris" Lockinger passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Chris was born September 6, 1991 in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Chris was a loving husband and father of two boys. He married Megan Winch on July 27, 2017 at the Oregon dam. Together, they raised their two children, Jacoby and Christopher.

Chris had such an infectious smile that could turn anyone's day around. He always stayed positive and loved to be happy. He always wanted other people to be happy as well. He loved poetry, hiking, playing with his kids, video games, and movies.

Chris is survived by his wife, Megan; two children, Jacoby and Christopher; two sisters, Carin and Tandi; and several cousins, niece and nephew, and aunts and uncles.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, James B. Lockinger; aunt Roxy; uncle Chris; cousins Markey, Michael, and Ray; his papa, James; grandma Connie; grandpa Roy, and grandma Carol.

Cremation care has been provided. A celebration of life gathering will be from 4:30-7:30 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle.
